Take the third street up to the right after passing Ben Mboi Hospital in Ruteng. At the end of this street you will find Mama's Homestay.
About Mama's Homestay
Mama’s Homestay offers comfortable private bedrooms, with clean shared hot water showers and western toilet. Every morning between 7.15-10.15 breakfast is served! Mama’s Homestay serves a local diner too.

Activities
Mama’s Homestay offers lots of original activities in Ruteng and surroundings!
- Cooking class (11AM-2PM or 3PM-6PM)
- Coffee course (Duration: 2 hrs): Learn the ABC’s about processing your own coffee, from harvest until drinking!
- Ruteng cycling tour (7AM-12PM)
- Nature lovers day tour: Waterfall Tengkulese, Liang Bua Cave, Ricefield walking trail, Wasewengke, Picnic in nature.
- Mai manggarai day tour: Traditional village Ruteng Pu’u, Kampung Nekang to learn about the daily life, work and home, panorama hike, cathedral of Ruteng. This is a truly authentic experience during which you will immerse yourself in Manggarai culture.

- Sunrise smiles half day tour: Sunrise hike and view point, visit traditional village Ruteng Pu’u and 45 minute hike to waterfall Wae Murung.

Mama's Vision
Located in the heart of ’Nekang’ village, Mama’s Homestay is the meeting place for our family members. Our neighbours are our uncles, aunts, cousins and sisters. This very homestay has been built brick by brick with a lot of love by our father, Antonius Dahur. He envisioned this house to become a family home for the next generations and so it will be. We wish for our guests to feel at home, and to extend our international family!

We love for our guests to connect with the authentic Flores, to share knowledge together and meet new cultures. Mama’s mission is to offer the next generation of kids and youngsters confidence and to contribute to their personal development. With the support of our travel agency ‘Go Indo’ we already are hosting weekly English courses for local children, here in the homestay.
